Ocean Learning Classroom

Ocean Learning classroom environment is clean, quaint, and safe. The curriculum is intimate and unique to each student’s learning style eliminating the inconclusive generalized system of measuring a student’s intelligence based on public school’s Common Core State Standards (CCSS).

Ocean Learning Electives

At Ocean Learning there are a plethora of electives taught to the scholars. We have experts from various professions visit the academy to educate and give instruction in areas such as but not limited to: Culinary, Sewing, Music, and Art.

Ocean Learning Field Trips

Ocean Learning takes multiple field trips to explore and learn about nature, different cities, and cultures. The scholars have hiked Mission Peak, they forage for wild food, rockhound, pick/identify wild flowers, as well as run and play outside weekly for physical and psychological health benefits.

NO BULLYING POLICY

The Ocean Learning environment is always safe with a strong dedicated policy enforced of NO BULLYING (of any kind); Giving the scholar an opportunity to soak up knowledge while free of unhealthy fears, stresses, and anxiety.

Ocean Learning is strongly family oriented so, everyone in our academic tribe is highly valued, respected, and loved. A student in a safe healthy learning environment will thrive positively academically as well as in their behavior at school. In turn, a beautiful system is born that eliminates parental anxiety and excessive stress onto school instructors/staff making the teaching learning cycle pleasant and fruitful.

Wanderlust Project
Experience

Every year each student does a Wanderlust project. The Wanderlust project is a completely immersive detailed presentation on different countries. We prepare the country’s native foods, decorate the space that we have the project in the culture’s decor, and even dress up in the country’s traditional garb. Exploring other cultures, lands, and people is a very important part of Ocean Learning’s curriculum. It teaches our scholars respect, appreciation, and understanding for walks of life different from their own. This remote travel experience expands one’s outlook and perception of the world. “The world is a book, and those who do not dare to travel only read one page.”
